I totally want one of these.
I have no doubt it would gather as much clutter as every other horizontal surface in my apartment, but how fucking cool is that? It doesn’t really have the home defense cred that the Remington 870 enjoys, but it’s got style.
They really need to make a center console version for the car.

Well, I got tickets for last night’s Eddie Izzard show and it was fucking hilarious. He started the show saying he’d be talking about everything ever, then proceeded to do so. It was probably about a two hour show, but it flew by for me. Honestly I wish he’d gone on for a few more hours.
He wasn’t in drag and I kind of missed the heals, but I wouldn’t presume to question the fashion whims of an executive transvestite.
If you have the opportunity to see him in your town, I couldn’t recommend it more.

Newsweek has an interesting interview with Eddie Izzard.
I’m really hoping I can get tickets to Stripped. Eddie’s one of my favorite comedians. His last show was one of the funniest I’ve ever seen.

Nerve.com and IFC.com have apparently collaborated on a list of the 50 greatest comedy sketches of all time (IFC’s version).
It’s a pretty good list, but what’s with the stupid cross-site pagination? Were they trying to distract and annoy the reader? Not only is it confusing, but they did it with target=”_blank” so it opens a new window (or tab) for each segment. I can’t understand how anyone thought that was a good idea, let alone at least one person at each site.
Anyway, I really need to watch the sketches I haven’t seen. The ones I have seen all belong on the list in my opinion, but at the very least I’d have to say both the Argument Clinic and The Cheese Shop (not on the list) are funnier than Dead Parrot.
I also didn’t realize that Four Yorkshiremen was not a Python original. I first saw it in Live at the Hollywood Bowl and just assumed it was theirs.
